A driver has been critically injured following a late night crash on the Whangamoas.
Police, Fire and Ambulance all attended the crash shortly after midnight on Hira Rd, SH6 between Hori Bay and Central Rds.
Fire and Emergency shift supervisor Riwai Grace says the person had to be extricated from the vehicle.
A St John spokesperson says they were then flown to Wellington Hospital in a critical condition.
