A person has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the Whangamoa Saddle between Nelson and Rai Valley.
A police spokesperson says a car went off the road, down the bank and into a tree just after 11am this morning.
Initital reports were that the person had moderate injuries.
Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter was dispatched and flew the patient to Nelson Hospital.
