Flooding, slips and fallen trees have closed roads across Nelson and Tasman as the region recovers from early week wet weather.
Wastewater and stormwater systems are also under pressure, with TDC advising residents to treat all water with caution and don't collect shellfish at this time.
The rubbish and recycling collection for Golden Bay was also affected with bag collection only in Riwaka, Mārahau, Motupipi, Pōhara and Tākaka township.
Rubbish bags will be picked up from Tākaka River through to Farewell Spit on Tuesday with residents advised to bring bags back into their properties from the kerbside today.
All recycling in Riwaka, Mārahau and Golden Bay was not collected Monday due to the severe weather. Recycling in these areas will be picked up in a fortnight or can be taken to Resource Recovery Centres throughout the region.
Tākaka Hill reopened last night at 9.45pm after a landslip blocked roads mid Monday afternoon.
