The Nelson Marlborough region now has six cases in hospital with Covid-19, along with 272 new confirmed cases.
The Ministry of Health announced more than 22,000 new cases in New Zealand on Wednesday, 272 of those in the Nelson Marlborough region.
More than 400 have been hospitilised across the country with, the average age being 52, six of those are being cared for in Nelson Marlborough.
