Nelson Suburbs continued its strong start to the Nelson Bays Football first division season with a 4-1 win over FC Nelson at Saxton Field today.
The win means Suburbs maintain its three-point lead at the top of the standings over Blenheim-based Rangers after the first four rounds.
Elsewhere, Motueka picked up its first win of the season with a 2-1 win over third-placed Nelson Suburbs Seals while Richmond Athletic won the mid-table battle over Tahuna FC, 2-0.
Over in Blenheim, bottom-placed FC Nelson Karenni fell to second-placed Rangers 11-0.
