A man has died at Tāhunanui Beach after being pulled from the water unresponsive on Sunday evening.
Police confirmed that the 43-year-old man died at Tāhunanui Beach.
Emergency services responded to a report of a person unresponsive in the water, shortly before 8pm.
"Attempts were made to resuscitate the man, but sadly he has died," Police said on Sunday night.
Police are making enquiries on behalf of the Coroner.
