Nelson's newest music festival Beach Break has been postponed due to weather events across the country.
The event, headlined by Shapeshifter with support from Kora and My Baby, was scheduled to hit the Tāhunanui Beach Reserve on Sunday, 6 February.
Organisers say the decision was made after evaluating the "destructive and unsafe" weather events around the country this summer and wanting to give concertgoers who make travel arrangements to get to the show as much notice as possible.
Shapeshifter shared on social media that the postponement was another huge loss for the country's summer events calendar.
"This one hurts," they said.
However, they said that they did not want to take any risks with the safety of fans, the crew, and all involved in putting on the event.
"We urge our fans around the motu to stay informed and keep clear of any severe weather."
All tickets previously purchased from authorised outlets remain valid for the rescheduled show without the need for exchange.
Concertgoers unable to attend the new date can obtain a refund from the point of purchase once the new show date is announced.
