One person has died following a serious crash on SH7 on Friday morning.
Two others were taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Mouse Point Rd has been blocked since 8.30am.
Waka Kotahi are advising delays for those travelling from Waipara or the West Coast and Nelson through the Lewis Pass following the crash, south of the turnoff to Hanmer Springs.
The Police Serious Crash Unit is attending.
There is no detour route around that part of SH7 so drivers are asked to delay travel, the road was likely to be closed for most of the morning.
