Update 9.10am:
One lane has reopened for traffic heading towards Motueka.
A multi-vehicle crash has injured six people and closed SH60 The Coastal Highway on Friday morning.
The crash blocked the highway near Gardner Valley Rd around 7.20am.
The road is closed in both directions while the scene is cleared.
A police spokesperson says initial reports suggest six people have received injuries.
A spokesperson for St John says one of the six was in a serious condition, two had moderate injuries and three had minor injuries.
All six have been transported to Nelson Hospital.
Waka Kotahi say the road is closed between Aporo Road and Mapua Drive with vehicles being diverted.
