A blanket of fog in Nelson is expected to clear by midday.
Metservice says the fog is continuing to linger in the central city and D'Urville Island, but it should dissipate from the heat of the sun by 12pm.
It says the Nelson Airport runway is also clear.
A Nelson Airport spokesperson says while early morning flights were grounded this morning due to the layer of fog, the impact was minimal, and flights had fully resumed.
"You couldn't see a thing out there, but it's all clear now so it's all getting back on track," the spokesperson says.
