A special display celebrating the 100th anniversary of BMW motorcycle production will be in show for the Nelson Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Show this weekend.
A lineup of bikes from different eras of BMW production will be on display at the Badminton Hall at Jubilee Park, Richmond on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 January.
The show, which has been running since 1991, donated $1000 to the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter trust from last year's proceeds.
"We hope to be able to do that again," says club president Dave Roberts.
“Over the years the show has become a real social occasion and there is often more people milling about in the carpark than in the hall," he says.
There will be a swap meet on the Sunday morning in the carpark – BBQ and coffee will be available all weekend.
Entry to the show is $5, free for kids.
