Nelson's Haven Rd is closed following a single-vehicle crash at about 10:20am this morning between Fountain Pl and Vickerman St intersections.
Police has advised motorists to avoid the area and to expect delays for some time.
Hato Hone St John says it was notified of the crash just before 10:20am and responded two ambulances and one manager to the scene.
"We assessed and treated two patients who were transported to Nelson Hospital in a moderate condition," Hato Hone St John says.
