A child has been hit by a car on a recently-installed safety crossing in Stoke.
A police spokesperson says they were notified at 3.25pm on Wednesday that a child had been struck by a car on Songer Street.
"Fortunately the child appears to have only suffered minor injuries."
Police say there was no mention of the child riding a bike.
