The main route between Nelson and Blenheim remains closed following a slip on State Highway 6 early on Monday morning.
The slip and rockfall was reported around 5am Monday morning.
An NZTA Waka Kotahi spokesperson says work is ongoing to clear a slip site east of the intersection with Ross Rd.
The road is closed at Hira and Whangamoa meaning there is no direct access to Rai Valley or Blenheim, with the alternative route via SH63 and St Arnaud adding around 40 minutes to travel time.
The road will re-open at 7pm Monday, 26 August, under stop/go traffic management near Ross Rd.
