The cruise season officially kicked off for the season on Wednesday with the arrival of the luxury vessel Scenic Eclipse II.
The vessel accommodates just 228 guests, (200 in the Arctic and Antarctica), and docked in Port Nelson on Wednesday afternoon after a visit to Kaiteriteri.
The luxury vessel offers 10 dining experiences and eight bars as well as a 550sqm spa sanctuary.
It leaves port at 8.30pm on Wednesday evening bound for Picton.
Two more cruise ships are scheduled to arrive in Nelson on Monday.
