Some little stars shone brightly at the Tasman Cluster of Kindergartens-Ngā Kohungahunga mai Whakatū ki Aorere’s combined Matariki concert last week.
The event, called Matariki -Ngā Whetū Piata Kapahaka Festival, was attended by Greenwood, Wavery, Waimea, Motueka, Motueka South, Richmond, Pinegrove and Tapawera kindergartens.
Each group climbed the stage at Motueka’s Memorial Hall to perform two or three items to the other attendees, as well as their gathered whānau.
Nelson Tasman Kindergarten chief executive Craig Vercoe says they hope this will be an annual event, growing “bigger and better”.
