Nelson Federated Farmers are proud to have the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) heading to Tapawera to support farmers hit hard by recent floods.
RRT is offering a generous donation of fencing materials that will be available for pick-up at a Tapawera-based ‘Farmers Community Connect’ event, aimed at providing fencing materials, a free BBQ and barista-made coffee, as well as the chance to connect with local support services and fellow farmers.
Nelson Federated Farmers president Kerry Irvine is encouraging farmers impacted by flooding to apply for the fencing materials.
“It’s a generous opportunity and we don’t want it to go unused,” he says. “If you’ve been impacted by flooding and need fencing help, please register—this support is here for you.”
To apply for the fencing materials, farmers need to fill out a short form including a GST number, the number of sheep and cattle they run, the number of hectares they manage, and some basic farm details to verify eligibility. Applications will be verified and confirmed by email ahead of the event.
