Steve van der Gulik may be new to Drummond & Etheridge (John Deere) Richmond, but he brings 18 years of experience in the agricultural machinery industry.
Originally from Pukekohe, he has sold a wide range of equipment—everything from ride-on mowers, fine turf equipment, ATVs, tractors ranging from compact through to over 500HP, and a huge range of tractor attachments.
Raised on his family’s market garden, Steve has a strong horticultural background and understands the day-to-day demands and unpredictability of farming and growing life. Now three months into his move to Tasman, and new role serving as the branch manager for Drummond & Etheridge (John Deere) Richmond, Steve is loving the region.
“The friendly people, sunny days, and settled weather are what drew me here, along with the beautiful landscape,” he says.
“I enjoy the mountains and the sea, and you’ll find me out on a track, playing golf, fishing, or out exploring by campervan.”
Steve says he is looking forward to getting out and about around Tasman, Golden Bay, Nelson, and Rai Valley to meet with local farmers, growers, and foresters – an industry that he is keen to learn more about.
“I welcome anyone to call in to the D&E Richmond branch for a coffee and catch-up.”
