The annual St Peter Chanel fair is getting a spring makeover this year, with the event having emerged from its car boot sale chrysalis of yesteryear to become a “Spring Fiesta” butterfly.
Teacher Megan Strong says the event this weekend will be a “fiesta of food and entertainment and fun”, with a huge kids’ entertainment zone including a bouncy castle, train and horizontal bungy, the fire service, books, plants, heaps of raffles and silent auctions, and lots of yummy treats to keep everyone charging.
Stalls cost $20 per site, with bookings still possible.
Funds are going towards a rejuvenation of the playground, as well as provision for experiences both in and out of the classroom for the school’s students.
Hot on the heels of the St Peter Chanel Fair comes the Motueka Steiner School Spring Fair, taking place the very next day – Sunday, 14 September.
This much-loved annual event brings together a colourful mix of food, book and clothing stalls, along with enchanting entertainment, all with a touch of Steiner’s signature magic.
