A teenager has been arrested following an alleged stabbing in central Nelson overnight on Saturday.
A police spokesperson says they were advised of an assault on Bridge St, Nelson shortly after 12.30am Sunday.
"A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition, with injuries consistent with being stabbed."
The spokesperson says police arrested an 18-year-old man about 1.30am.
"Charges are being considered, and enquiries are ongoing."
