It was an occasion fit for a queen at Willow Bank Heritage Village on Friday.
A Mad Hatter-themed high tea fundraiser welcomed guests to the park for an exquisite spread prepared by chef Volker Marecek.
Christine Greider, who purchased the Wakefield land 24 years ago, before forming a trust to grow the village, says the place to step back in time is run entirely on donations and volunteers.
The tea party was a fun idea to offer something different. The team went all out, even stocking a ‘secret garden’ with Alice in Wonderland treats including large and small toadstools.
