A Nelson family stumbled upon a celebration of the full moon at Tāhunanui Beach on Sunday evening.
Whakatū Cultural Fire and Ceremonial Drum Circle Benevolent Association have been meeting for decades to celebrate the full moon – one of the longest running drum circles in the country.
Sara Etherington and her children were headed for a swim at the beach when they heard the drums and music. They were treated to a display from fire dancers, too.
