Nayland Pool celebrated its final day of the season on Saturday before closing for winter, the only requirement for entry was four legs, not two.
The pool literally went to the dogs for the 10th annual Dog Splash, a fundraiser for Second Chance Tasman that marks the end of the season for the outdoor pool.
While some preferred to dip their paw, literally, others couldn’t be contained and leapt from the side over and over.
For those who have attended before, there were some familiar faces, like Brightwater staffy Marley, who was hard to miss in her bright pink life jacket. Marley attended last year too and while Waimea Weekly didn’t get a chance to speak to her humans, Marley let slip that she thinks it might just be better than Christmas.
The fundraiser, supported by Stoke Vets, raised more than $450 for Second Chance Tasman.
Shuttersport were there to capture the pawsome day, and are donating $5 from every sale to the charity for the rest of the month.
