A friendly group at Richmond Library is inviting locals to come along and try their hand at Rummikub, while enjoying a relaxed and welcoming space to connect with others.
The group meets on the second and fourth Friday of each month during the day and is open to anyone keen to meet new people and keep their mind active.
Group organiser Linda Langford says that you don't have to know how to play, as it’s an easy game to learn and the group is happy to teach.
Teenagers are also welcome to join in during school holidays, making it an inclusive option for different ages and stages.
Rummikub is a fast-paced, tile-based game that blends elements of rummy, a card game where players form sets and runs to clear their hand, with strategy. Players create runs of consecutive numbers in the same colour or groups of the same number in different colours as they race to play all their tiles.
Anyone interested in joining in can contact Linda on 022 681 4129.
