A Neudorf Vineyards chardonnay has been named white wine of the year at The Real Review Top Wineries of New Zealand 2026 Awards.
Neudorf’s Home Block Moutere Chardonnay 2024 was described as the winery’s most famous wine, which has evolved in style over the years to become more elegant, less overtly oaky, and allowing the old vines to express greater nuance and complexity.
The winery’s marketing and sales director Rosie Finn is proud of the recognition and says it reflects not just the wine itself, but the consistency of the site, the work of the vineyard and winery team, and the unique character of the Moutere clays.
Her parents Judy and the late Tim Finn first planted their Home Block vineyard in 1978 on the blue clays of the Moutere Hills, and the second generation has continued to refine their approach to viticulture and winemaking.
