This weekend’s Richmond triangular squash tournament, which also involves Marlborough and the West Coast, will bring together the top four men and top four women to battle it out for provincial honours.
Each player will compete in four reverse singles matches across two grueling days at Club Waimea Squash. Play starts at 12:30pm on Friday and again on Saturday at 10am.
The competition was first played in 1976 after the shield was presented for the competition by Neil Senior from Nelson and Marlborough’s David Winstanley.
The competition moves around the clubs in the regions, rotating each year, with 2026 the turn of Club Waimea Squash.
