Two people have been arrested and cordons lifted following an hours-long stand-off with police in Toi Toi on Tuesday night.
Police were called to an address regarding an unrelated incident where a man became enraged, threatened police, then locked himself inside a residence and refused to leave.
Armed police attended the scene as a precaution.
Senior Sergeant Mark Surman says cordons were put in place along Emano St while officers dealt with the incident.
A second person, a neighbour who entered the property during the stand-off, was also arrested.
Both people were taken into custody at about 6.25pm. Cordons were lifted at 7pm.
Mark says police want to reassure the public there was no threat to public safety.
