More than 170 cars and 15 motorbikes drew a crowd of about 1000 people to the Murchison Classic Vehicle Show on Saturday, making this year's event significantly larger than last year's gathering.
Visitors travelled from across New Zealand, including Invercargill, Kurow, the West Coast and the Top of the South, to enjoy a day of sunshine and classic motoring at the Murchison Sport, Recreation and Cultural Centre.
The event raised nearly $2600 for the community, with funds to be shared between the Murchison Sport, Recreation and Cultural Centre Stage 2 Development and the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Trust.
Best in Show Car went to J Halin, of Nelson, while Murchison's Will Morrow took out Best in Show Motorbike.
Organiser Heather Kinzett described the event as a very successful day and thanked everyone who attended and supported the show.
