A charity quiz night has raised $4,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nelson–Tasman, while also attracting interest from two potential volunteer mentors.
The Forsyth Barr 2026 Charity Quiz Night brought together teams from across the region for an evening of fundraising and friendly rivalry between lawyers and accountants in support of the youth mentoring organisation.
Rout Milner Fitchett claimed first place, ahead of Duncan Cotterill in second and Fletcher Vautier Moore in third.
The result continued the dominance of legal firms at the annual event, with lawyers filling the top three spots on the leaderboard.
Organisers say the evening was a success both financially and in helping raise awareness of the work carried out by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Along with the $4,000 raised, two attendees expressed interest in becoming volunteer mentors, providing another boost for the organisation.
Funds raised from the event will support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nelson–Tasman as it continues matching young people with adult mentors across the region.
