The inaugural Lower Moutere Colour Run and Family Fun Festival will transform the school grounds into a rainbow of colour this Sunday, offering families a day of entertainment, food and fundraising.
The rain-or-shine event begins at 12pm, with a range of food stalls serving everything from pulled pork rolls and fry bread to candy floss and coffee. Families can relax picnic-style while enjoying live music from Sarah Quickfall and Craig Allot.
PTA chairperson Tarmra Heal says the day is focused on creating lasting memories for local families.
"And if we fundraise for our wonderful tamariki, all the better!"
Festival-goers can also try their luck on the lucky wheel, bid in the bottle auction, slime a teacher or principal, browse arts and crafts, and shop from plant stalls.
The colour run starts at 3pm, with the local fire brigade giving participants a soaking before they set off around the course to be showered in vibrant (and washable) holi powder.
Entry to the festival is free, while registration for the colour run costs $5.
