Passed away in Nelson Tasman Hospice after a long battle with cancer.

Beloved son of the late Jane and Ray Smith and cherished husband of Sonia Smith.

Loved youngest brother of the late Tamati, Jackson and Howard, Steve and the late John, Furlough and Patrick, Luxford (Mike), Tina and Raelynne (Dorta).

Loved father of Robert, Jamie, Gene and Sarah and a beloved Grandfather and Uncle.

Service will be held for Lou at Shone and Shirley Funeral Home 164 Tahunanui Drive Nelson on Monday March 16, 2026, at 10am.
