Peacefully passed at Nelson Hospital on Thursday 30 April 2026, aged 92 years.

Dearly loved husband of Elizabeth Wiblin and much loved husband of the late Pat.
Cherished father of Sharon, Pam and the late Bryan, stepfather of Karen and Michael; grandad, great grandad and friend to many.

Forever remembered for his sense of humour, love of family and friends, services to the community and his love of all things trains.

A service to celebrate Bernie's life will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church, Manuka Street, Nelson on tuesday 5 May 2026 at 11.00am.
