It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Rick on Tuesday 16 June 2026, in his 83rd year, after a short but bravely fought battle with cancer. Beloved and adored husband of Chrissy. Loved father and father-in-law of Richard and Wilma Knobben, Tim and his partner Rochelle, Mike and Felicity, and Shane and his partner Leisha. Adored Grandpa Ricko to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved elder brother and brother-in-law of Ken and Ann, and Dave and Marilyn. Special Uncle and Great Uncle to his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Rick's life will be held at the Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street Blenheim on Tuesday 23 June at 1pm followed by private cremation.

The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on the Cloudy Bay Funeral Services website.
