HAYWARD, Richard Edward

 

Passed away at home surrounded by his loving girls, on Thursday, 27 August 2026, aged 72 years.  Richard was a cherished husband of Sue, an adored father of Juliette and Melanie, a much loved father-in-law of Rob and Pat, and an idolised Pops of Henry, George, Annabelle, Elliot and Rosie.  A true gentleman, Richard meant so much to so many. He was immensely proud of his family and treasured his friendships. Cricket was a great love of Richard's, and he enjoyed many happy years around the game. His legacy lives on.  

A service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at the Trafalgar Centre, Paru Paru Road, Nelson on Saturday, 5 September, at 2pm.
