DOHERTY, Brent Francis

On the 19th October 2026. Aged 75 years. After a long struggle with IPF Brent passed peacefully at his home in Nelson with his much loved wife Maureen, children Rebecca and Ben, and dogs Jed and Coco by his side.

Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Rebecca & Dave, and Ben & Sharon (Aus). Adored grandfather of Caity & Liam, and Tom (Aus). Great grandfather of Lachie and Nico. Loved brother-in-law of the late Lyn & Ross Gibbons, and Graham Paterson.

Special thanks to Brent’s GP Dr Jo Knight, all the amazing staff at Nelson Tasman Hospice, district nurses and Tahunanui Pharmacy – Angels every one of you.

In accordance with Brent’s wishes a private service has been held. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to the Nelson Tasman Hospice.
