Ian Douglas Thomson

Passed away peacefully on 3rd November 2026 aged 92.

Much loved husband of Maureen. Loved Dad and father-in-law of Graeme and Monika, Kim and Greg, and special Grandad to Ian and Nash. Much loved by his Scottish Thomson clan and especially            remembered by Clare Darling and family here in New Zealand.

He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by us all.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Ernest Rutherford for the kindness, care and attention given to Ian during his last few months. We are so grateful.         

A private cremation will be held, but we would love you to join us to celebrate Ian’s life, share some memories and remember the good times.

A Celebration of Ian’s Life will be held on Thursday 12th November at 2.30pm at the Nelson Golf Club.
