Nau mai, Haere mai
Welcome to the Society of St Vincent de Paul, supporting communities throughout Aotearoa New Zealand with generosity and compassion.
The Society is an international non-profit organisation. We have been in Aotearoa since 1867. We are present in 153 countries. In Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka (Top of the South) we have groups based in Tākaka, Motueka, Richmond, Stoke and Nelson.
We help people get back on their feet. Assistance given is practical. It is based on the situation and need, and the resources we have available. We welcome donations and bequests to support our mahi.
We have three popular Op Shops (in Stoke, Nelson and Richmond) where bargains can be found. Our volunteers work 3 to 6 hours per week, and we are looking for new team members to help sort, price and display our stock, and serve our customers.
We have hundreds of volunteers and members who give their time and skills on a regular basis, to help us help others in our community.
